I have also launched 'War Memorial Watch'. The aim of War Memorial Watch is to register all War Memorials in the UK so that they can benefit from legal protection. With the centenary of the First World War fast approaching, let's mark this important date safe in the knowledge that the memory of the war dead is protected.

So please look out for War Memorials - in schools, churches, parks, post offices, playing fields, and even bus shelters and get involved by reporting a War Memorial to War Memorial Watch.
