Enfield Good Samaritan Network Recovery Champion Awards - 26 April from 7-9pm
27th March 2012
On 26th April at 7pm David Burrowes MP will be hosting Enfield Good Samaritan Network's second annual Recovery Champion Awards evening at the Gladys Child Theatre, Southgate College. The event will recognise individuals who are championing recovery in their own lives, in the lives of others, in their organisation or in the local community.
The evening will be dedicated to the celebration of recovery from mental illness and/or substance abuse and will feature testimonies from recovered addicts and those working within the local community.
David said "I am delighted to host the Recovery Champion Awards evening once again. The aim of the event is to commend those individuals who are championing recovery. We often hear bad news about substance abuse and mental health issues, but this event will be all about good news. We want to recognise people who are leading recovery in Enfield, getting off substance misuse, getting into employment and housing and restoring relationships. Recovery is infectious and we want Enfield to catch the recovery bug!"
This event is open and free to all who are interested in attending so please do come along and celebrate the joy of recovery! For further details or if you wish to nominate a recovery champion, please contact Rebecca Chard on 0207 219 5414 or log on to www.egsn.co.uk.
